Rusty Dwart Surfboard Review

Hey man, this board has been a favorite board for a lot of surfers for a few years now and for good reason. This board is Bitchin' man! Rusty advertises this a "one board quiver" and I can't disagree. This board has the makings of a good small wave board and the versatility for larger waves. I surfed this board for a couple of months in small to good size overhead waves. So, it can potentially be a one board quiver... For me, this board was awesome from waist to shoulder high in mid to high tide. It is small, fat and thick so it will paddle like crazy and catch waves like a longboard. The best waves are probably mushy point breaks and semi mushy beach breaks. There is a limit to what this board can handle. Although it can easily handle larger waves, because it is so wide and thick, it tends to get a little too stiff in bigger, more serious waves. It won't spin out on you, but you won't be doing too much maneuvers. It has a flat bottom and thick soft rails which are great for smaller waves where you want the board to float on top of the wave, but in bigger stuff, those thick rails tend to get in the way of more hollow bigger stuff. But, having said that, when this board is surfed in it's preffered small to mid size waves, this puppy shines, man... So, I give this board a "Totally Bitchin'" rating.
