Hypto Krypto Surfboard Review
The Hypto Krypto is advertised as a "new" style of shortboard, but in reality, it is simply a rediscovery of a late seventies style performance shortboard. So, for me, the Shredding Hippie, I really dug this board, man. It's got a refined curvy outline, tapered foil, lots of volume, wide nose and performance rails. This combination gives the overall effect of a smooth, yet responsive, old school carvy feel. It has enough volume and width so that you can trim and glide, but the pinched rails are super responsive and create some really bitchin' CARVY TURNS! While some of the kiddies may be thinking that this is a new type of short board, it is really just a rediscovery of old school late seventies surfboards. The only major difference is that in those days, we put single fins on our boards. While this board shreds as a tri-fin, I would be supremely stoked to surf it as a single fin. And in all seriousness I say that Haydenshapes is making a HUGE mistake not offering this a single fin option. (Yes, I tried to custom order this as a single fin and Haydenshapes REFUSED!) All in all, I rate this the highest award possible on the Shredding Hippie Surf Show. I rate this board as "Totally Bitchin', man."
